Students excel at Nebo Science fair

Haley Green, a student at Mapleton Junior High, is the Grand Champion winner in the seventh/eighth grade division of the Nebo School District Science fair. Trevor Jeppson, also a student at MJHS, placed third in the same division. Jason Syndergaard and Tucker Sandbakken, students at Maple Mountain High, took first place in the tenth-tweflth grade division of the Science Fair.

Ali Jenkins takes first place in State poster contest

Ali MaCall Jenkins, a student at Mapleton Junior High, won first place in the Utah’s State Radon Poster contest, out of over 700 entries. Ali received $300; her school, Mapleton Jr High, received $500. She enjoyed meeting Governor Gary Herbert at the Capitol in Salt Lake City. Ali is the daughter of Lori and Alan Jenkins of Mapleton.
