Hobble Creek Elementary School Carnival
A beautiful fall day. Scores of excited children making happy memories. Friends, neighbors, and volunteers all visiting and working together to support their school. It all came together at Hobble Creek Elementary’s Fall Carnival held on Thursday, September 22.
All the elements of a fun school carnival were there. A row of giant bounce features was lined up on the grass drew crowds of children. Traditional games such as ring tosses and bowling tested the skill of young and old alike. Booths for hair extensions and hair feathers were busy, as were the concessions serving snow cones, popcorn, and licorice.
Inside the school, dinner was served in the cafeteria. Dessert was available at a long table of home-baked goods. And a large selection of baskets donated by parents and local businesses was available for silent-auction bidding as well.
Principal Dave Rowe said, ”We have outstanding school and community support. Our PTA works hard to put this together, and we have volunteers from our school and the overall community who make it happen. We appreciate them all. We’ll do well with this carnival, but most of all, it’s a wonderful way to come together at the beginning of a new school year.”
