Mapleton Memorial Day service to be held May 28
Mapleton will hold a Memorial Day service on Monday, May 28, beginning at 9:00am. The service will be held at the Veterans Memorial at the north end of the Mapleton City Park (corner of Maple Street and Main).
The community is invited to come out and support this wonderful event. Families are especially invited to bring children in order to help them gain a better understanding of patriotism, and a deeper appreciation of the sacrifices made to preserve our country’s freedom.
After the service, the Mapleton Heritage Museum will be open. The museum currently has an exhibition of Mapleton veterans’ photos and memorabilia from WWII to the Korean War.
The exhibit will run through July 2012.
